Jesse Warech is a ceramic artist currently living in Philadelphia, PA. He received his B.F.A in Art from the University of Montevallo in 2019. Jesse's work is greatly influenced by his travels and the generosity of the clay and wood firing communities. He has studied at the Tainan National University of the Arts during a six month long exchange/residency in Taiwan. His work stems from a love for wheel thrown functional pottery, and often aims to show relationships between pottery, sculpture, and how the "ideal" human figure has been portrayed throughout history. The majority of his work is wood fired. This firing process can allow as much of the raw materials used to be evident in the finished work.
